It seems as though everyone is obsessed with our beloved Garden State lately.  Us natives have known how wonderful our tiny state can be, but it seems like everyone else is jumping on the coat tails of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” success.  Case in point, American Idol season 6 contestant Antonella Barba was spotted filming her new music video at none other than Belmar’s Bar A for her new single coincidentally called, “Jersey Girl.”  The video has yet to be released but we’ll be sure to scope the scene for the shot wheel or infamous Albert Einstein look-a-like that we recognize as staples of  Bar A. Adam Richman takes on a monster sandwich in MvF's first season.

If you’ve ever happened upon the Travel Channel on a Wednesday night, you’ve doubtlessly seen several episodes of Man vs. Food. If you haven’t, in short, host Adam Richman visits a city/region and hits up its notable eateries. He rounds out each episode by taking on a  food challenge. I’ve seen him take down 72 oz. steaks, somehow eat wings made with the spiciest peppers on Earth and eat gigantic ice cream sundaes. I had always thought our beloved Jersey Shore and its greasy gastronomic offerings would be perfect fodder for an episode. Now that the summer season is in full effect, our favorite beach bars are up and running. For the ultimate Jersey Shore experience head over to Donovan’s Reef in Sea Bright, where the scent of the salty Atlantic greets you from the parking lot.

For you movie fanatics, Donovan’s Reef was established in 1976 and named after the famous John Wayne comedy coincidentally titled Donovan’s Reef.
